Associate Professor of Theatre
Dr. Goff joined the faculty at Centre in 2017, having previously taught at Wayne State University, Frostburg State University, and Virginia Tech. She holds degrees from University of Portland (BA), University of South Carolina (MA), and Wayne State University (PhD). She also studied for four summers at the Moscow Art Theatre, and is a certified teacher of the Michael Chekhov Acting technique. As an actor, director, and improviser, her work has been seen in venues across the U.S. She co-founded The Distracted Globe Theatre Company in Greenville, SC as well as the online journal Etudes. Visiting Assistant Professor of Theatre
Sasha Kuznetsova is a Russian-born artist who recently earned her MFA in Scenic Design from Wayne State University in Detroit. She received her bachelor’s degree from the Moscow HSE Art and Design School, specializing in Theatrical Art and Cinematography. Sasha completed internships at the Moscow Art Theater and the Stanislavsky Electrotheater, and worked as an assistant to artist A.J. Weissbard on theater projects in Russia, Germany, and Italy. In addition, she served as a technology assistant at the Sovremennik Theater in Moscow.
Sasha’s previous work as a set designer includes projects with the art group Apadakaladas, which focuses on theatrical design and performance creation. Over the past three years, she has worked as the set designer for the musical Amélie, the play Tartuffe, and the devised dance piece Depths. She also created projection design for the Spring Dance Concert at the Hilberry Gateway Theater in Detroit.
Visiting Assistant Professor of Theatre
Dr. Anderson holds a Ph.D. in Theater Studies from the University of California at Santa Barbara and earned his MA in Theatre Performance from Arizona State University. He trained with the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art as well as the Moscow Art Theatre School. Dr. Anderson's scholarly research examines fandom, cosplay, superheroes, and comic books through the lenses of Theatre and Performance Studies. As an actor and director, Anderson has worked on stages across the country. His favorite directing projects include She Kills Monsters; Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet); Shoot/Get Treasure/Repeat; Bare: A Pop Opera; You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown; Stop Kiss; Lasso of Truth; God of Carnage; Frankenstein in Love; First Date; Eurydice; Heathers; Meteor Shower; and NOW. HERE. THIS. He is especially proud of directing and producing the original play The Canonized Club: The Curious Lives & Deaths of the Saints, which he toured with his students to the famed Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland. He is excited to bring his experience and enthusiasm as an artist and educator to the Colonels at Centre!
Technical Director and Scene Shop Supervisor
Eric graduated from Eastern Michigan University where he receved a degree in Entertainment Design and Technology focusing on Lighting Design and Programming. On the few days he isn't in the shopw, you will find Eric climbing cliffs or hiking wherever he can. He is ecstatic to work with the wonderful students, faculty, and staff here at Centre and is beyond proud of the work these students create.
Performing Arts and Convocation Coordinator
Katie brings over 20 years of experience in community outreach, program management, event coordination, philanthropic development, and business administration. She’s spent her career building connections, leading impactful initiatives, creating memorable events, and championing causes she believes in.
A lifelong lover of the arts, she’s excited to blend her professional expertise with her personal passions to help bring dynamic, inspiring experiences to the Centre community. When she’s not planning events or cheering on the arts, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their three rambunctious boys.
Costume Shop Supervisor
Melanie brings decades of experience in theatrical costume design, construction, and wardrobe management. Her extensive background spans drama, musical theatre, and dance, with a focus on visual storytelling that enhances movement, character, and mood across a wide range of performance styles.
She has served as a teaching professional at Miami University, Ball State University, and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, guiding students in costume design, clothing history, construction techniques, and production processes. In addition to her collegiate work, she has contributed to the development of young performers and artists as the Drama Director for Talawanda High School, where she directed and supported numerous productions.
Melanie’s creative expertise includes specialized skills in pattern drafting, millinery and puppetry, adding depth and versatility to her design approach. She has also worked internationally with FIO Italia (Festival of International Opera), where she has supported international opera productions with her design and technical skills.
Known for her meticulous craftsmanship and collaborative spirit, Melanie is dedicated to creating designs that elevate performance while mentoring the next generation of theatre artists. She is passionate about storytelling through costume and remains committed to cultivating future designers through rigorous, hands-on education.
Adjunct Professor of Dance
Rebecca Stephenson teaches Modern Dance Technique and Performance at Centre college. She holds an MFA in Modern Dance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, a BFA in Modern Dance from the Ohio State University, and a Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from Eastern Kentucky University. Rebecca is also a Certified Movement Analyst through the Laban/Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies in New York City. While living in New York, she choreographed and performed works at the Cunningham Studio, Context Theatre, and Dance Theatre of Harlem. Rebecca has received the Kentucky Arts Council Choreographer's Award, as well as grants from the Ohio Arts Council, Kentucky Arts Council, Greater Columbus Arts Council, and Artsbridge. Rebecca now teaches Contemporary Dance at the School for Creative and Performing Arts in Lexington, KY. She has also taught at the University of Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky University, and Berea College.
Adjunct Professor of Dance
Teresa Tomb teaches Dance at Centre College and is the director of Mecca Live Studio & Gallery, which opened in 1999 with a vision for community inclusive art. She is a dancer and instructor who has studied in many cultural forms of dance including dances of the Middle East, Flamenco, Hawaiian, Hula, Turkish Rom, and Indian Folkloric dances. She is the artistic director for Rakadu Dance Theatre which is best known for their rich musical diversity, highly explorative utilization of danec narrative and theatre, and seamless improvisation. Through Teresa's processes, trust, release, acceptance, and gratitude, she opsn the performer's mind to possibility.
